First things first, Singham is a remake of yet another south Indian film called Singam. Bajirao Singham (Ajay Devgn) is an earnest cop who employs his own ways to ensure that justice prevails in Shivgad, a small village located between Maharashtra and Goa. However, the local goon cum politician Jaykant Shikre (Prakash Raj) and the disturber of peace is set on a head on collision with Singham. Who wins this grim fight forms the rest of the movie.
